DYNASTY'S PRINCESS DI/CLINTONS/LISTED ARTIST!
LARGE, IMPORTANT PAINTING ON STRETCHED CANVAS--
"DYNASTY'S" 'Amanda Carrington'--ACTRESS
CATHERINE OXENBERG
--by WHO'S WHO
ARTIST
E.J. GOLD.
Canvas professionally museum-conservation-mounted
on stretcherbars, measures 30" X 30" inside the
larger ELABORATELY HAND-CARVED 36" x 36"
GOLD-LEAFED "LOUIS" STYLE "WHITE HOUSE" FRAME,
MOUNTED BY MUSEUM CONSERVATOR
ROBBERT CAMPBELL TRICE.
CATHERINE OXENBERG
(BEAUTIFUL WIFE
OF HOLLYWOOD'S COOLEST LEADING MAN
CASPER VAN DIEN)
also played among many starring roles,
PRINCESS DI
on the famous tv miniseries
--"The Royal Romance" and "Charles
and Diana", and many other popular films.
This portrait of ms. Oxenberg was painted
specifically on request, for possible inclusion in
Kaki Hockersmith's
New White House, under the New Clinton Administration.
58 large canvases were produced for consideraton
in the White House Art Collection. In all,
28 E.J. Gold art pieces were selected, including
graphic works, ceramics for the private apartments,
and other objets d'art. The Clinton collection also
includes various bookbindings and uniques. An E.J. Gold
book given to the Clintons is mentioned in a videotaped
public speech given by both Bill and Hillary Clinton,
and a personal relationship has developed between the
Clintons and the artist. Ms Oxenberg is one of their
favorite actresses, which is why she posed for the
paintings!!!
During the initial frenzy of the first Clinton year
in the White House, this painting was
specially framed by Robbert Campbell Trice to match
the Scalamandre fabrics and ornate 18th century frames
which were being installed by world-famous
interior designer Kaki Hockersmith
in the White House and at Camp David.
All Official
White House documentation
and photos of Oxenberg posing for this series will be
supplied to the winning bidder.
BECAUSE OF A SERIOUS COLOR-
CONFLICT WITH THE SCALAMANDRE FABRICS OF THE ROSE ROOM,
(which Gold had made in doll-scale with the Scalamandre
fabrics sent from the White House for use in the elaborate
scale-model, which is Not For Sale and is NOT included
in this offer!), THIS CANVAS WAS NEITHER OFFERED NOR CONSIDERED
FOR THE WHITE HOUSE AT THAT TIME; IT WAS INSTEAD
KEPT IN THE ARTIST'S OWN PRIVATE COLLECTION.
Ms Oxenberg later posed with the completed painting,
as shown below, when it was unveiled at a private party for the
world-famous actress, whose important collection
of E.J. Gold paintings, sculptures and ceramics is
considered among the best in the world.
Gold's major works have
found their way into the homes and castles
of many Hollywood, Washington D.C.
and film, rock & tv celebrities, and even
a few monarchs, including the late King
Hussein of Jordan.
