WHITE STAINS~A BOOK OF POEMS
ALEISTER CROWLEY
This book was initially privately and anonymously printed in 1898 in an edition of 100 copies, most of which were destroyed in 1924
by H. M. Customs. This copy is a 1997 reprint published by Duckworth, London.
The last few years have seen a resurgence of interest in Crowley the mage, culminating
in the publication of his diaries, The Magical Record of the Beast 666. But Crowley was also a poet: in his own eyes
the greatest poet of his day, and even in the eyes of less partial critics-who included
W. B. Yeats-a poet of merit. Three of his poems, written under the influence of his magical and mystical ideas, were included
in the Oxford Book of English Mystical Verse. This book is in mint+ condition it has Aleister Crowley's
signature machine imprinted, in white, on the front of the black hardcover and white title printing on the spine.
The dust jacket is also in perfect condition. There are 118 pages.
