Cat Cloning Conference Convened
Experts from several related and unrelated disciplines (except for Madame S. who was sent home after someone explained her discipline to the conference committee) assembled in the Hawaii Hilton where they will be addressing the question of cat cloning over the Labor Day Weekend. Conference Chairperson Patricia Beaniestein addressed the early media arrivals this a.m. "Now that we have the technology to clone higher mammals there are several questionst that must be addressed before we can allow the unchecked application of these scientific marvels. Consider the questions of quality of life, just how many lives does a cloned cat have? Do they subtract lives from the donor? Will owners be tempted to cycle new clones through in an endless stream of kittens abandoning the parent donor? Can we really expect the IRS to allow this conference as a business expense?" These and many other equally pressing questions were introduced to the press core and television teams assembled in the lobby in front of the luau signup table.
