License
This program is Shareware. That means you that if you give us a little money we'll give you the expanded totally cool version of the program for your use. That does not give you the right to "share" the registered version with all of your friends and/or college dorm-mates or the entire staff of your office building. And it certainly does not give you any rights to rip us off in any of the zillion ways that people are constantly thinking up.
If you would like to include this program in any bundled project or in some other way "take it commercial" contact us and we can talk.
The program is provided as-is. If that is with bugs -- so be it. If that is without bugs -- so much the better. This is definitely one of those buyer-beware type circumstances.
Since we aren't selling the program for zillions, and we aren't a public company with a billion dollar market cap, we don't have unlimited resources for testing and rock-hard quality control. Also since we aren't selling the program for zillions there is little use suing us. Heck, since you got the program so cheap why not just ask for your money back -- that should be enough recourse for anyone. We'll be happy to refund your money. Provided, of course, you purchased it from us. Obviously we can't refund money we never got.
If you plan on ripping us off or doing something else equally disagreeable, please don't. We'd hate to be put into the position of actually suing your butts off. Even the visual image is un-appealing and I'm sure the fact is even less appealing. If you are feeling cranky and want to make some trouble send us large contributions. Why? Because if we get enough extra money we'd like to confront Bill Gates for crimes against humanity.
We're sorry if you find this license off-putting and you are deterred from using the program. Them's da breaks.
Fact is, if we have to spend too much time worrying about license agreements and liability our response will simply be to not distribute the darn program. And, as indicated above, do be careful if you plan on doing something which infringes on our copyrights and intellectual property. If we find out about it on one of those days when we happen to be feeling a tad litigious, we just might find a group of money-hungry never-say-die pitbull dog type attorneys to "just see about that."
Generally speaking, if we could all just follow the same set of rules which work in a kid's sandbox we'd all be better off.
- Play fair,
- be nice,
- take turns, and
- don't throw sand in each other's face.
