Spiritual leader Lee Lozowick and his rock group Liars Gods & Beggars (formerly living god blues Band) came by the Canteen a couple of weeks ago on their way to a gig in the Bay Area. The Band was treated to the Accardi/Gold Songbook — a showcase album of original, humorous, and thought-provoking compositions — as well as some rare, unreleased recordings by and tributes to Harry Nilsson and other unusual musical goodies selected by Geneneral Nunan for the occasion.

In their 22 hour visit, the group packed in a night at the Canteen, the painting studio and the music studio, a couple of memorable meals with General Nunan full of story-telling and good vibes, a visit to the Truffle Shop in Nevada City, and to the Museum of Ancient and Modern Art, another local treasure.
