The actor who has played "Booger" in Revenge of the Nerds and opposite Tom Cruise in Risky Business -- Curtis Armstrong -- came out to the SmogOpsTM Canteen a few weeks ago.
He was in town to find out more about Harry Nilsson, the late Grammy-winning singer-songwriter perhaps best known for the song “Midnight Cowboy” from the Academy Award winning movie of the same name.
Nilsson and his family had spent the Christmas just before his untimely January 1994 death, with his lifelong friend E.J. Gold. Gold and Nilsson collaborated on some music, some short stories stories, some poetry and some movie concepts.
Smogops™ CPA David Franco was asked when some of these collaborations might be available to collectors. "Soon," he said.
Armstrong, who has admired Nilsson since childhood, intends to produce a biographical movie about the late great Nilsson,and was treated to reel after reel of audio and video tape of Gold and Nilsson talking, clowning around, recording music, making movies and memorable merriment.
